Self-Introduction

Hi everyone,

My name is Yuko Shimozato, a graphic designer and illustrator from Japan.

Back in 2012, aiming to conbine my strong passion for art & music, esperially R&B, Soul, HipHop, Funk and Jazz, I relocated to New York to expand as a visual artist (which, by the way was one of the best decisions I've ever made in my life).

Since I graduated from Shillington School of Graphic Design in New York in 2013 and worked at SOB's, a live music venue in the city as a graphic designer, I've been mostly involved in music-related projects, such as record/cd designs and visual materials for shows and concerts, in addition to various projects from illustrations for a children's book to a logo design.

Currently I'm based in Japan but thanks to the technology, I am open to work on projects from any part of the world. So wherever you are right now, if you have an interesting project to work on or just wanting to see if i'm cut out for your project, please feel free to reach me.

Overview : Bar Core is targeting at professionals aged between 18-40 with moderate to high income who work and live in the city centre and are out/socialising a lot. The Theme of the bar is confident & passionate like the expected customers themselves. They would come to this high end bar to relax, exchange information ,network with like-minded people and to be inspired. The design objective was to make it feel modern and stylish but still friendly and welcoming.
